A name. A few ticks. Deal.
What the video says
A name and your regulars
Euchre for small groups. A quick start guide. By the time you finish this video, you’ll already be playing.
Running a small game on the side? Here’s how quick it can be. First, put your regulars in Players, once. A first and last name is all it takes. If they’ve created an account, their names will be here too.
On game night, press New tournament, and give it a name. Today’s date and your start time are already filled in. The rest of the form is optional, but here’s what you can set.
The options
Pick how many rounds.
Pick your point total. Standard plays each round to a score, like 10. Accumulation plays a set number of hands, and every point counts.
Choose how many points a loner is worth, and what a euchre on a loner is worth.
If there are players scoring on paper, tick this, and you’ll pick who before you start.
Pick what the scorecard counts. Euchres, loners, or both.
Who is playing and the money
Tick who’s playing.
Choose the rotation. Random, or seeded from past results once you’ve finished a tournament.
Not tracking money? Skip it. If you are, tick it and fill in the fee. For this game, it’s $10 a player, 4 players, and it’s winner take all.
If you’re tracking loners for money, add the Loner pot, and put in the cost.
Collecting euchre money? Tick the box, and put in the amount. Here, 50 cents a euchre.
And press Generate rotation.
Walk-ins, Start and play
If somebody shows up who never signed up, they can still play. Open Edit setup, type their name, press Add, then Save and rebuild rotation.
When everybody’s here and paid, hit the Bulk option, and in one press you’re ready to go.
Tick who’s playing on paper, and press Save.
Now it’s time to start the tournament. Tick through the start checklist, which runs you through all your settings to make sure everything is correct. Then it’s time to deal.
Now you’re ready to play, and the app does the rest. It tracks the scores, and collects the stats for bragging rights.
Euchre Clubhouse. Add your players, check off a handful of boxes, and you’re playing in a few minutes.
