How to run a euchre league
In a head-to-head euchre league, fixed teams play a schedule of matches, week by week, and earn points in a standings table. It's the format closest to a sports league. Starting from nothing? Read how to start a euchre club first.
How it works
- Teams sign up and you set a round-robin schedule, so every team meets every other.
- Decide how many games make up a match, and whether points go to each game or to the match.
- Each week, teams play their match and report the result.
- Teams earn points for wins, and the table updates.
- The season ends with the table, or with a playoff.
What to decide first
- Points. Set what a win, a loss, a forfeit and a forfeit win are worth.
- Forfeits. Say when a no-show becomes a forfeit.
- Tiebreaks. A common order is head-to-head, then points scored, then strength of the teams beaten, then fewest losses.
- Reporting. Decide who reports the score, and whether both teams must agree.
- Loners and euchres. Tracking them gives players something to compare beyond the win column.
Leagues in Euchre Clubhouse
Euchre Clubhouse builds the schedule and keeps the table, with a public page for the league. Each team enters its result by phone, it counts when both agree, and the admin has the final say. See leagues in the directory.
A league is priced like any club: a yearly club fee based on your number of active members, plus $5 a player. See pricing.
