About Euchre Clubhouse

Euchre Clubhouse was built by a euchre commissioner to run a real club's tournaments. It's still run that way: the people who use it on tournament day decide what it does next.

How it started

David Mulonas is the commissioner of the Mulonas Euchre Group, a real club of more than 40 players. Like most organizers, David kept the club's history in a spreadsheet: who played, who partnered with whom, who won and where the money went.

There was a gap: a standalone euchre tournament app didn't exist. So David set out to make tournaments run more efficiently, with less stress and less human error.

  • The money. A treasury that keeps track of what comes in and what gets paid out.
  • The fun. Statistics for the history and the bragging rights.
  • When things go wrong. Real solutions in the middle of a game, like a player who has to leave, with fill-ins and substitutes.
  • Every kind of player. Phones for the digital age, and paper for anybody who wants it.

What we believe

  • Your club's rules are your club's. Euchre is played a hundred ways. The app is built on settings, so it follows your club's way of doing things rather than telling you yours is wrong.
  • The admin has the final say. Phones can help with the scoring, but the person running the tournament can always correct a score.
  • Paper players are welcome. Nobody has to own a smartphone to play. Phones and paper can share one tournament.
  • Finding a game should be free. The tournament calendar and club directory are open to anybody, whether or not they use the app. So are the rules, score sheets and rotation charts.

Who's behind it
